Anastassiya Kan
Postbac Research Assistant
My name is Anastassiya Kan. I recently graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Psychology and am a research assistant in the Castillo-Ruiz Lab. I am fascinated by the complexity of the brain and the biological processes that shape development, behavior, and mental health. My research interests include neuroscience, neuroendocrinology, and brain-body interactions, with a particular interest in investigating how different physiological systems work together to influence health and disease. I hope to pursue graduate training in neuroscience and contribute to research that advances our understanding of the brain and improves human health. Outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, discovering new cafes, and exploring new cultures!

My first time presenting our lab's booth at the Science Festival!
