Well-Being Officers

Wally

Chief Well-Being Officer and Science Ambassador

Wally was found wandering the streets of downtown Atlanta. His human parents (Dr. Alexandra Castillo-Ruiz and her husband) found him and adopted him right away because he is such a good boy! He plays a vital role in Dr. Castillo-Ruiz's science outreach activities with children.

Hank

Supervisory Well-Being Officer

Hank was found on the streets of Tennessee with his mom and littermates. An organization named HART found him and brought him to the Capital Area Humane Society in Michigan. That is where he met his mom (Ariana) and dad. Hank takes his supervisor role very seriously and has earned three honorary bachelor's degrees (awarded by his parents). He is currently working towards his honorary PhD.

Loki

Trainee Well-Being Officer

Loki needed to be rehomed, and that's how he met his mom (Ariana). Loki thinks playing ball and getting pets are the most important parts of life, so he is still trying to find his role in the lab. He is a personality hire, some would say.

Richard

Junior Well-Being Officer

Richie was rescued from the streets during a cold Michigan winter and adopted by Anastassiya and her two roommates. As the lab's Junior Well-Being Officer, Richie enjoys supervising work from the keyboard, lounging in front of the computer screens, and staying up to date on the latest scientific discoveries.
